Question
I'm a in-home care provider to my child through a home health company. My child does not have a medicaid waiver in place but has medicaid. Can I claim DOC on this income?
Also, medicaid already does not count this income under it's own DOC guidelines. Medicaid pays me to care for them. Again, there is not an active waiver in place (it's currently pending). I was told earlier this year when I filed that without the waiver I couldn't claim DOC and I paid taxes on the income (quite a bit actually). I am now thinking that wasn't right. I would appreciate clarification.
