Here is how to add your 1095-A information to a return that has not been filed yet:

  1. Use the search box in the upper right corner to search for 1095A.
  2. Click Jump to 1095-A.

If you received a Form 1095-A, you will need to enter this information in your tax return. You must report Form 1095-A information in your tax return to adjust any tax credit payments and claim any premium tax credits that may be due or are required to be paid back if too much advance premium tax credit was received during the year. Please see the steps below to enter Form 1095-A in your tax return:

  1. Log into TurboTax and click on any topic to continue
  2. Click on Federal from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen
  3. Click on "Deductions & Credits" at the top, scroll down to "Medical" and click on "Show More"
  4. Click on "Start" or "Revisit" to the right of "Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A)"
  5. Click on "Yes" and then "Continue"
  6. Enter the information from your 1095-A

If you received a Form 1095-B or Form 1095-C, this is just for information purposes and you do not need to report anything on your tax return. Please keep this form with your tax records. There is no longer a penalty for failure to have health insurance.
