I filed taxes under a selection of 6 months free interest (this is just terrible UI and false belief) It led me nowhere and I had to file. I now just want to pay if all together but can't find that option.

How can I go back and just make the payment all at once. I filed my tax and it was accepted.

If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment with the 1040V voucher, (which has the address printed on it, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website.

Thank you this is helpful, however I am trying to make thehe payment online and it's telling me "Your identity could not be verified. Please review and re-enter your information or try a different tax year." I triple checked and all the info is accurate, what gives?

I'm worried about mailing a payment, I don't want it to get lost or stolen.
