Solved

I filed my tax return just based off of my job and how much I made. My parents were worried it might affect their taxes/possible income tax. Is this true?

If you qualify as a dependent on your parents return and they are planning to claim you, you will not affect their taxes if you filed to receive a refund and you checked the box that someone will claim you as a dependent.

If you checked the box that no one will claim you, your parents will not be able to claim you as a dependent and that might affect their tax return. However, you can amend your return and edit your information in order for you parents to be able to claim you.
