I filed federal tax return but can not get program to file state

TurboTax will not let me file North Carolina state

Did you recently efile the Federal return first by itself?   If so, has it been accepted?  (you can check by signing in and checking the status at the Tax Home.)   You cannot efile the state return by itself until the efiled Federal return has been accepted by the IRS to begin processing.    If you recently efiled the Federal, that usually takes 24-48 hours, but can sometimes be much sooner.

 

If that's not your situation, then you need to explain in full.   "Cannot get program to file state" is not enough info.   What and where is the roadblock?   Any error messages?

 

Also go through the REVIEW tab.   Are any problems with the state return revealed there?

Using standard deductions for both federal and state.

Filled and received federal return.

 

Note from TurboTax said NC forms are available.

Did an update.

Ran check again after update, no errors.

error message 2021 transmissions are not available

NC efiling has been delayed ....return later & try again.
