I do not have a name of locality on my w2g gambling winnings form

Turbo Tax will not let me go any further, without correcting this. No locality name on Form W-2G. What do I do?

No Problem. If your W-2G Box 18 is blank, enter XXX in the locality field.

If there is no local tax withheld on your Form W-2G, just leave boxes 16, 17 and 18 blank. That is completely blank, no xx, no zeroes.

If you do have an amount greater than $0 in box 17 and the locality is not named, you need to contact the issuer of your W-2G to get the name of the locality.

To go back and fix this:

Select Federal on the left side menu.
Select Wages & Income.
Scroll down to Less Common Income, expand the section and select Gambling Winnings.
Select Start or Revisit to the right.
Select Review to the right of your W-2G, or answer Yes, if you haven't entered it yet.
Scroll to the bottom and clear boxes 16, 17 and 18.
