Question

I completed my state and federal returns and paid for them with federal. I did not file my state yet because I messed it up. How do I fix it?

Ok ... the only thing about the state that could be paid with the federal refund is the Turbotax state program fee ... if you have a balance due on the state it can NEVER be paid with any part of the federal refund.

So ... now you need to log back in and complete the state return so it can be filed. So if when you log in you do not see the option to continue the return then scroll down and click on ADD A STATE to open the program up ... then complete the STATE tab to finish the return and then the FILE tab to submit the state return.
