Question

I claim son per 2024 divorce. I file HOH. TurboTax checks box: "Check if your...status is...HOH & you lived apart from...spouse...or are legally separated" no2025 spouse!

My personal data is divorced & I answered the questions correctly. Why does TurboTax check this box which does not make sense if you had no spouse in 2025?

This box also applies to your case and allows you to file as Head of Household.
