    I am getting the same message about Turbo tax is not ready to file my 2021 Taxes. I am in North Carolina.

    The North Carolina Individual Income Tax Return Form D-400 is not yet available for e-filing.  It is estimated to be available on 02/24/2022

    Go to this TurboTax website for North Carolina state forms availability - https://care-cdn.prodsupportsite.a.intuit.com/forms-availability/turbotax_nc_online_individual.html

     

    If you want to e-file your federal tax return now then change how you file the NC state return.  This assumes that all of the forms and schedules included in your federal tax return are available for e-filing.

    If using the TurboTax online editions click on File on the left side of the online program screen.  On Step 3 of the File section click on Start or Revisit.  Select the button File by Mail.  Then change the filing status of the state return.

    After the federal return is e-filed and accepted by the IRS you can e-file the state return when it is available for e-filing.  Just use the same procedure and change the state return back to e-filing.

    After I paid for E-filing state return, I am unable to transmit my returns at the final step. Turbo Tax kept asking to check an entry, so I wanted not to check the box but unable to make it. Then, it got stuck there.

    I assume you are using the desktop software (CD/download).

     

    What box is it?   TurboTax has a lot of boxes.  

    Does it tell you what it is?

    If you can explain more, someone in the forum may be able to comment.

    Yes, I am using the Turbo Tax home & business software online purchased from Costco.

     

    The box is in Federal Information Worksheet 

    Disaster Tax Relief

    Check if you took a disaster distribution between 2018 and 2020

     

    I tried to uncheck the box, but I can't make it. And, the other boxes in the same form are active.

    Are you having issues transmitting your return?  Please try the following steps which may help clear the loop you are experiencing:

    • Log completely out of Turbo Tax.
    • Then, clear your cache and cookies within your browser and completely close out of it.  I have included the Help Articles below if you need assistance with clearing cache or cookies.
    • Re-open the browser and log back into Turbo Tax and see if this fixes the situation.
      • You can also try a different browser as well, or "incognito mode".

    If none of the above steps resolve the issue, please reach back out here in the thread and someone will follow up with the next steps.

    i have the desktop version and it will not transmit.  Will not do federal or NJ, separately or together.  Ive done all of the suggestions, even deleted and reinstalled.
