Although you are not required to file Form 1310 as a court-appointed personal representative, if you are claiming a refund for the deceased, you will need the form in order to Efile.

You may be able to Efile by checking the box for 'other person claiming a refund' rather than 'court appointed representative' which requires court documents to be attached to a mailed return.

Here's more info on Form 1310.
