How to import information from Scotrade? I thought it was as easy as log into my account through turbotax, but now it wants document ID for everything and I don't have it

I assume the 1099 you want to import is a 1099-B and that you know how to get to that interview to do so. If not, we can tell you the navigation steps to get there.

These are the instructions displayed on the TurboTax screen to import from Scottrade:

"Enter your Scottrade account number, and the 11-character Document ID from the top right corner of your Form 1099 (no spaces)."

You said you don't have the Document ID. To get the Document ID, you'll have to look at the 1099-B you received from Scottrade either in the mail or by downloading the 1099-B from your Scottrade account.
