Question

How to get past the 1099 import ban?

today is Feb 9 2024.

I'm trying to import 1099 documents from E*Trade, which etrade says are available (and I can even log in to etrade and download them myself), but TURBOTAX REFUSES, because some hard-coded restriction won't even allow an ATTEMPT to import until Feb 17 00:00:00 PT . TurboTax throws up an alert titled "No Documents Currently Available For Import". how do I get past this ridiculous restriction?

(I'm using turbotax for mac downloaded app, and yes I'm fully updated on macOS and turbotax)

Thanks for posting this question. I ran into the same issue and will gladly take any workaround instead of waiting until Feb 17. And I suspect all the others watching this topic are also stuck.
