How to file taxes for my husband?

My husband is a farm hand for his parents farm.  He does not receive a W2.  His parents pay him by check once a month.  He does not receive a share of the crop raised.  He also does not pay farm expenses.  I don't see how he is self-employed if he works for them and can't figure out how to enter his income.  He gets paid very little, but they do not take taxes out of his check.  Help?

He would figure the income manually and enter it on Schedule C Profit or Loss from Business. He is self-employed since he does not receive a W-2, as an employee would, nor does he own the farm. You would add the amounts from the checks he receives and enter that. If you have trouble doing that, perhaps his parents kept a record. They are required to issue a 1099-Misc to anyone they paid $600 or more.
