How many state tax returns can I file with the online self-employed version of Turbo Tax? I think I need to file in 8 states.

TurboTax Online lets you prepare and e-file (or paper-file) up to five state returns per federal tax return.
If you need to prepare returns in six or more states, I would recommend using the TurboTax CD/Download software instead. Although the software only lets you e-file up to 3 states per federal return, you can prepare and paper-file as many states as you want.
