Question

How do I navigate back to correct a mistake in my tax return? I efiled it and it was rejected I think it needs TTF's FED [removed]

If your return has been accepted by the IRS, then you have to file an amended return (1040X) to add another 1099-R. But you might want to wait until your refund or payment is processed. Please be aware that you can e-file your 2020 amended federal tax return, but most states require amendments to be printed and filed by mail. Please see How to amend a tax return for instructions.

 

 

If you haven't filed then please see these instructions:

  1. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “1099-R”
  2. Click on “Jump to 1099-R” and you should see the “Review your 1099-R info” screen
  3. Click on "Add another 1099-R"
