How do I get my baby son born in 2021 to show up on Recovery Rebate Credit during the "Federal Review" step so that I can claim his $1400 check through Tax Return?

My son, born in Jan. 2021, never got his Economic Impact Payment in 2021 (3rd Stimulus), but the Recovery Rebate Credit page during the "Federal Review" step only shows a total eligible payment of $2800 for my wife and I, filing jointly.

Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. If your child was born in 2021make sure you said he lived with you the whole year. There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support. Say NO to that question.

Your newborn son is considered as having lived with you the WHOLE year.

Please revisit the My Info section of TurboTax and make sure that you have correctly entered his date of birth and that he lived with you the whole year.

He also has to have a SSN. He will then be eligible for the Recovery rebate credit. He will also be eligible for the Child Tax credit.
