For this tax season, the TurboTax Easy Extension feature will be available to customers mid-March. You'll be able to file an extension thru TurboTax by following these steps:

1. Click on the Federal Taxes tab

2. Click on the Other Tax Situations

3. Scroll down to Other Tax Forms

4. Select File An Extension

I just bought the Turbo Tax CD and can't seem to find where to File An Extension online following the instruction here. How do I locate the "Federal Taxes tab"?

Those steps are for the Online version.

Watch this Video how to file and Extension. It is mainly for the Online version so if you have the Desktop program you need to go online and search for Turbo Tax Easy Extension
