How do I change my filing status?

I accidentally filed as HoH and I want to switch to filing as single

Did you already e-file? Did you claIm a qualified dependent? Why are you trying to change from HOH to Single? Is there some sort of confusion regarding claiming a child?

If you haven't e-filed yet, change your filling status on the Personal profile screen.

Select your name under Your info
Select Revisit
Continue through the screens and answer No to Do you have any dependents on the About Your Household Screen.

I can’t change it. It doesn’t give me the option to change my filing status.

when I put my dependent it said I qualified for HoH but am able to file Single but it does not give me the option to file single. It just says continue and it automatically files as HoH.

@karlalc89 Why are you trying to change to single instead of HOH? Asked this once----is there some sort of problem regarding which parent is claiming a child?
