i mean i would like to do my sons taxs. can i start another tax return?

Only one tax return can be prepared on each account using the online product. You would have to create a new account for another tax return. It is usually better to use the CD/download product for multiple returns because you can perpare and efile up to 5 returns with one purchase.

The website should have made clear that this product was a one-time use vs. the download that could be used for family members. I used the product last year and didn't realize that this was something different.
