How can I get a free file? I am an Independent, full-time student.

I am being charged by TurboTax for filing me return. It's a simple return. It should be free. Only a w-2. But I can't get around the fee. Can you help?

In the Turbo Tax Free Edition, information that you can enter is limited now. Why do I have to upgrade from the Free Edition?

@turbotaxalister - what do you mean you are "independent"?

did you enter form 1098-T which may make you eligible for a tax credit? that may create an issue with 'free'

if you earned less than $12,950 there is no requirement to file. However, if there were tax withholdings, the only way to get them back is to file.

How can I get a free file? I am an Independent, full-time student.
