Question

Hi! My dependent had an ITIN last year but he has a SSN now. What should I do when filing my taxes? Do I have to inform IRS? How do I do that?

You will use the Social Security Number now instead of the ITIN. When you use the SSN on your tax return, that notifies the IRS. You don't need to notify them otherwise.

If this dependent has never filed their own return there is nothing else you need to do except use the SS# from now on.
