You can enter estimated tax data you are aware of on the 2024 online tax return. And you can also make estimates of your income. Just do not try and file the tax return in January or February until you have received the W-2 from your employer and entered all other verified information onto your return.

Well you will have to go back and enter the actual W2 when you get it and delete the info you filled in. The real W2 usually does not match your last paystub year to date figures. There are many pretax deductions that can affect it. Buy yes you can enter what you have and go back and enter the other stuff you get later. You can jump around and enter out of order. You can’t file until later on January and not until you get your W2 and 1099 forms.
