Getting: "The selected file is NOT a previous year tax file or it is corrupted. Choose a different file and try again." using Online Turbotax. I have the right file.

Using Online Turbotax. I fed it the file .tax2024 (which opens in my TurboTax 2024 Desktop), but it says the file is corrupted. No password. Help? FYI this is for MacOS

The solution was removing the password. I had saved it encrypted with a password, but because it was automatically added to the MacOS Password Keychain, it didn't prompt me for the password to open the file.

I use the Windows version, but I'm curious if your 2024 data file was prepared in the desktop Mac version and is somehow encrypted in the Mac's keychain. If so, hopefully someone familiar with Mac can comment.

Hi. I should have mentioned this is on MacOS. The file isn't password protected - I'm not prompted for any when I launch it successfully in TurboTax 2024.
