Is the Free CPA consultation only for folks who 'owe' taxes this year? I received an email that said "To redeem this offer, just purchase TurboTax by June 30, 2020. You must use your consultation before you file your taxes.".

I have paid for TT Premier (online) edition. But, I'm not seeing an option to talk to the CPA before filing. When I click on 'Live Tax Advice', It's asking to upgrade to TT Live Premier.

Sometimes we "volunteers" are unaware of the various marketing campaigns and emails that are sent out to users, and this was one we were not familiar with.  I have tried to track it down.  The best I could find out was that there was an offer that had to be used by June 18 if you had tax due.  It seems you are too late for that offer.  Sorry.

But---call customer support and see if they can do anything for you.

Is that for a free look at 2020 next year's taxes?  Probably to see what you can do so you don't owe next year?

@wraphale If you still have the email, it would help us to see it for ourselves in case others ask about it.  Any way you can send us a screen shot or copy and paste for us here?

@VolvoGirl I have been trying to track these "free CPA" offers down for a couple of weeks now and have had little success.  Apparently there have been a couple of different emailed offers and one "in product"  offer targeted at users who owe tax due, but how the user was to take advantage of the offer was murky.
