First tax season after divorce
Hi! I plan to file as head of household. My ex and I already agreed to each claim 1 of our 2 children on our taxes. I have sole physical custody of the kids so I need to fill out a form to give to him to let him claim our oldest child. What form is that? Also, since this is our first year divorced, I’ve already received some tax forms with both of our names. How do I handle these forms? I’ve used turbo tax in the past but will it guide me through everything I need to consider in this new situation I’m in? Thank you!
