Estate administrator income
We received income as a administrator for my parents estate, where do we list the income?
My condolences on the loss of your parents.
Executor/ estate administration income goes on line 21 of Form 1040. Here's how to get it there in our online version:
- Federal Taxes, Wages and Income
- scroll down to very last category- Less Common Income
- click the last category of that -Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C
- Once again, the last option- Other Reportable Income
- Say "Yes" to enter Executor's Fees to enter on next screen
In the desktop version of Turbo Tax, type "Executor" in the search box in the top right- The Jump to Executor's Fees pops up.
