I am retired and 67 years old. My employer paid life insurance benefit has decreased to 27K. In the past I received a W2 for the cost of this benefit. Not this year so far. Has the cost of this benefit decreased to the point a W2 is no longer generated?

No, you should still be receiving a W-2 for your employer paid life insurance benefits.  Employers had until January 31, 2022, to send out W-2's.  As it has only been one day since the deadline to mail W-2's yours more than likely is in the mail.  If you do not receive your W-2 within a short period of time contact your employee and ask where your W-2 is.
