I didn’t file in 2019, can i still use it for my 2021 taxes to receive the earned income credit

    No.

     

    If you did not file for tax year 2019, your 2019 earned income is unknown and you have no number for 2019 to use for the lookback rule for the earned income tax credit.

    Yes. If you file a 2019 return you can use your 2019 earned income @Crystalzz98.

     

    However if you file 2021 before the IRS has processed your 2019 return, there may be no record of your 2019 income.

     

    You can't e-file a 2019 return anymore so you will have to send it in the mail. You will also have to buy and use 2019 on a computer. TurboTax 2019 no longer available online.

     

    Go to File your 2019 taxes to purchase the 2019 program.
