I had some Federal tax withheld from my 1099-B (Box 4) any idea where do I need to enter those tax withheld? because when I only get the option for proceed (1d) and cost basis (1e), but I have tax withheld (box 4) and I can't enter those.

In TurboTax Online, Federal withholding tax not already entered on a W-2 or 1099 may be entered as follows:

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Tax Home.
  • Click on the down arrow to the right of Review.
  • Click on the blue band labeled Review.
  • Down the left side of the screen, click Federal.
  • Down the left side of the screen, click Deductions & Credits.
  • Click the down arrow to the right of Estimates and Other Taxes Paid.
  • Click the down arrow to the right of Income Taxes Paid.
  • Click the down arrow to the right of Other Income Taxes Paid.
  • Click to the right of Withholding not already entered on a W-2 or 1099.
  • Click Yes.

Don't know about the Online version but in my Desktop program there is a little check box that says....I have other boxes on my 1099-B to enter.  It is right below the Box for the Cost basis.  That will open up with more  boxes including Box 4 for Federal income tax withheld
