Does Turbotax have any way to track the status of a mailed return? The e-file was rejected due to an IRS error and I didn't want to wait for a resolution.

The only way to track the status of a mailed tax return is to pay for tracking services (certified, express, etc.) with the US Postal Service.

you can mail your return but how long before it is processed and you get your refund is unknown. so there is no way to know if you'll get your refund any faster by mailing now or waiting for the correction. maybe we could help if you tell us the issue. with a balance due unless there are certain penalties that are increasing each day you don't have to file and pay until 4/17/2023

The rejection email said F8960-019-04 - If Form 8960, 'NetRentalIncomeOrLossAmt' has a non-zero value, then it must be equal to Schedule 1 (Form 1040), 'RentalRealEstateIncomeLossAmt' I didn't have rental income. TurboTax did not want any correction....the error said I could wait 2 weeks and see if this problem is resolved and resubmit. My refund is large so I didn't want to wait for resolution that might not happen.
