Does TT have a professional version? I am a retired CPA and need to do a few returns each year. This set up process asks me questions like I am preparing my own?

Can I do a return that is not my own? I am retired CPA and need to file for some other taxpayers.

Intuit (the company that makes TurboTax) has three tax software product lines for professional preparers: ProSeries, Lacerte, and ProConnect. You can find information about all three product lines at the following link. For a small number of returns you will probably find ProSeries to be the most suitable choice.

Intuit has 2 products for tax preparers. They are Lacerte and ProSeries. ProSeries is the least expensive. You can install ProSeries and Turbo Tax on the same computer.

If you are not going to charge for the return preparation, I believe you can use Turbotax. the problem is the return limitation imposed by thre IRS. with deesktop you can prepare up to 5 returns that can be e-filed. buying another license to do more will not work so you are probably . for onlie you need a separate a/c for each return so you don't overwrite one prepared earlier. the same 5 return limiation applies.
