When did you do 2022?  If you tried to use the Online version after November Online is only for 2023.  To file a 2022 return you have to install the Desktop program and print and mail 2022.

If you used the Online version last year,  Did you efile?  Was it Accepted?  Maybe you didn't finish filing it or it Rejected.  When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  what does it say?

Then when you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepte.d or Rejected your efile.  Check back though your emails if you have them.

In the PDF of your TurboTax return, the last page of the federal return should be an "electronic postmark" that shows your name, Social Security number, the date and time that you e-filed the return, and the date that the IRS accepted it.

No one else can see your account or your information.   You say you "paid $80" to file 2022---but paying the fee did not file your return.   Did you go all the way through the FILE section and click the big orange button that said "Transmit my returns?"   Did you receive the emails from TurboTax telling you if the e-files were accepted or rejected?

If you did not go all the way through all of the steps to e-file, it is too late now to e-file a 2022 return.   If the return was not filed, or if it was rejected, you can only file it by mail now.   You have to print it, sign and date it in ink, and mail it in.  If you do not owe or are getting a refund there is no penalty for filing late.

If in fact you did file the return and just never received your refund(s) from the IRS or state, then you need to track what happened with the IRS/state.

The IRS refund site  is now showing information for 2021 returns as well as information for 2022 and/or 2023 returns so you can check the IRS site.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2021 or 2022 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your fees deducted from your federal refund:

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC  (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.

You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com
