Do I qualify as a dependent of my parents if I am permanently disabled? I am over 18.

It depends. Even though you are over 18, you may still be considered a qualifying child on your parents' return if you are permanently and totally disabled.

 

However, to qualify: 

 

  1. You must have lived with your parents for at least 6 months of the year
  2. Did not provide more than half of your own annual support
  3. Not be claimed as a dependent on someone else's tax return
