Do I check the box that my income is Qualified Business Income if I receive a 1099-MISC?
Is 1099-MISC income QBI?
It depends. If you end up filing a Schedule C / Self-Employed to report this income, then the profit would be qualified income for the new "Qualified Business Deduction."
