Our Daughter is 23 years old. She recently graduated college and has a great job. She still lives with us (parents) and does not pay rent. Will we be able to claim her as a dependent?

Hello billkell2000,

If your daughter meets the Rules for Claiming a Dependent and she was a full-time student for at least five months during the year, you may claim her as a dependent.   Your child must not have provided more than half of her own support for the year.   See page 26 of IRS Publication 17 for the rules (link below):

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p17.pdf

See page 30: Worksheet for Determining Support.
