Question

Can someone explain how sbtpg can send these checks out just blank, spam looking envelopes, with no way to track them?

I have never heard of such a thing mentioned in this forum ... call the company who sent out the "blank checks" and get to the bottom of this situation.

Please explain.   Do you mean they sent you a blank check with no amount----or do you mean the envelope they used was plain with no indication that it was your tax refund?   And...FYI----when the IRS sends a refund check there is no tracking on it either.   It is just sent by first class mail.

Ok... so they sent the refund check in an unassuming envelope  so that they are not a target for thieves ... what a horrible idea !!!    They should have put "please steal me NOW  ... I am a refund check !!!"  in big neon letters on the front and back so everyone would know your business.

They send it out in a plain envelope just like replacement credit cards or other bank correspondence which is SOP for important docs for security reasons.  So you need to OPEN all your mail even if it looks like junk.
