I took a class in UX/UI and got my certificate in 2020. However when I filed my 2020 taxes last year, I didn't realize I could deduct the cost of that class. Can I deduct it this year since it still pertains to my career?

No. You cannot claim a business expense paid for 2020 on your 2021 tax return.

To claim this expense, you'll need to amend your 2020 tax return.
