Question

Can I file even if PayPal refuses to give me a 1099 - K for 2019 due to "too little earnings" (less than $1,500)?

I was only  employed a few months in 2019. I earned less than $1,500. PayPal said they will not give me access to the 1099-K when it's so little. What can I do?

You don't need a 1099-K to file an income tax return and report your income. You report your income from your own records.

You say "I was only  employed a few months in 2019". Wages from employment are reported on form W-2, not 1099-K.

Do you need to file a 2019 return or amend it to add the PayPal income?  What is it from?  Is it for self employment income?
