Maybe---but you have not provided any details about your mother's income.   If she had over $5200 of income not counting Social Security, then you cannot claim her.  (Did she have a pension, retirement account distributions from IRA's 401k's etc?)

Yes, as long as certain qualifications are met:

 

  • She does not earn more than $5,200 in gross income for 2025 (excluding social security income)
  • You provided over half of her support for the year, and that support must have exceeded the amount of her earned income by at least $1
