Can I change my filing status?

I was wondering if it was possible to change my filing status while in the middle of filing without restarting the process.

IF you have not e-filed yet you can go to MY INFO to change your filing status. What is the change you are trying to make----from what to what?

I am trying to change it from my current status of Not Married Filing Jointly to Married Filing Jointly

You can do that by editing your personal information using the My Info menu tab. However, your filing status may be limited by your circumstances. If you are not married, you can only file as single or head of household if you qualify for that. If you are married, you can only choose to file as married-separate or married joint, not single or head of household in most instances.
