Can I amend my 2021 Tax Return and have my Early Retirement Plan Withdrawal fee waived due to COVID-19? Instructions not clear. Can't find where it says I should click.

When I filed originally it seemed like the Tax Form was not ready yet. I do not want to do a re-pay over three years. I saw legislation that would waive the fee entirely for the time period that I withdrew.

That waiver was for the 2020 tax year only which is why the program did not alert you to the possible exclusion in the 2021 interview.
