Question

Can anyone confirm that the reason I cannot efile is that I have previously confirmed my stimulus check with my SSN with the IRS?

After starting the efile process I get an error message that the transmission will not go through.

If you used the IRS non-filers website to register for the stimulus then a 2019 federal tax return with your name and Social Security number was filed.

In you are not a non-filer and now are trying to e-file a 2019 tax return, the IRS rejects the e-filed return since it has already receive a tax return with your information.

See this TurboTax support FAQ on how to proceed in this situation - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-topics/help/stimulus-how-to-file-your-return-after-getting-reject-r0000-902-01/01/1602609

Update - I am not a "non-filer" - I received my stimulus check directly to my checking account without any action on my behalf.

Is there another reason why I can't efile?

What is the rejection code and message you received for the rejected e-filed tax return?
