I submitted an executed 83(b) Election Form to the IRS and received a stamped copy via self-addressed stamped envelope from IRS. There is conflicting information regarding if it is necessary to send an executed copy with my tax return. Can you please clarify what needs to happen after an executed 83(b) election is filed with the IRS?
There's no longer a need to report an 83(b) election on your tax return.
