It is 2:45 pm on Wednesday, 11/6/2024, and I have just received my Turbo Tax 2024 Deluxe online download program. I completed the download in under 3 minutes and I have already began to populate some sections that are ready. Works great. Just saying....

When I go to download the 2024 Premier version which I paid for, it gives me the 2023 Premier. When will this be updated?

I also downloaded and started entering data.

I ran into so many "this isn't ready yet" and "you entered a value that is too high" messages from data left over from 2023 that I'm not as delighted with the progress.

@RichInPitt Yep, anyone using 2024 software this early (effectively beta versions) will run into many such blockages until the final forms are implemented thru late January. If you want to model your 2024 taxes, you'd be better off using the 2023 desktop software, and doing and entering/changing data in a second COPY of your actual 2023 file.....and entering data as-if it was received in 2023. Result would be close enough OF course you would then have to start over when the 2024 software is mostly complete...and transferring in your real 2023 file (NOT the test one)
