2016 Home and Business won't open with Mac Sierra 10.12.2

Followed the advice about Mac and opening Turbo Tax on the website but no positive results

I had this problem. When I launched the app it would bounce once or twice in the tray and then disappear. I reinstalled several times to no avail. I checked the console and found the following lines:

TurboTax 2016[891]: filepath:/Users/LauraMac/Library/Application Support/TurboTax Home & Business 2016
TurboTax 2016[891]: Terminate called after uncaught c++ exception:

Where LauraMac is my login name.

I fixed the problem by deleting the "/Users/LauraMac/Library/Application Support/TurboTax Home & Business 2016" folder. Relaunch TurboTax and all is well.
