1099-B Import Bug: Truncated iShares Core S&P Small-Cap ETF name. Import cannot handle ampersands in names
Used Desktop Version. Imported data including long term capital gains transactions from my brokerage. The import changed the name of Ishares Core S&P SMALL-CAP E to P SMALL-CAP E in Form 8949. Everything before the & character was lost. This same thing happened to me last year. I manually edited it to correct it. TurboTax would not let me enter the ampersand (it gave me an error) so instead I edited in the word and. Shouldn't TurboTax handle ampersands? This is commonly used in the names of funds and ETFs. Would appreciate a fix before next year. Thank you for reviewing.
