I received my 1099B. Box A and D are straightforward. I input the totals for each category - A and D. For the Box E transactions where the basis is not reported to the IRS, I report each transaction individually. However, for example, I sold 1,000 shares of XYZ. I had bought the stock over a 10 year period in 10 transactions - 100 shares a year. I was expecting 10 transactions. However, the brokerage house sells the shares at multiple clearinghouses so I have 30 transactions. Do I list each of the 30 transactions or just report a total summary for the XYZ stock?
