Hello, I’m not able to import Merrill tax forms into TurboTax Desktop 2025 (Mac). I’ve tried changing my Merrill password, but that didn’t work. I can log into my Merrill account online just fine but when I go to TurboTax to import, I get a message saying that my Merrill account is locked. It actually isn’t. Merrill says that the problem is on TurboTax’ end, and TurboTax says it’s on Merrill’s end. (I spent a great deal of time on the phone with each.) Any solutions (besides entering the information manually)? I also get a “(580)“ in the error message. Thank you!

Sometimes the data import just doesn't work. It's impossible to determine which end the problem resides. When this happens, the best solution is to enter the information manually. The only other option I know of would be to start your return over in TurboTax Online, import you Merrill Lynch forms and then transfer the return to TurboTax Desktop to finish, or finish in TurboTax Online.
