I never trust the TT summaries. Check the forms and worksheets. Any unresolved prior year excess?

Before I made the original post or any of the replies I checked for updates (and as you know TT does that automatically every time it starts anyway).  The update it did tonight when it started fixed the problem, so all seems to be right with the (tax) world again. 🙂

@OPM, I don't know of any changes made to the 8889 processing (this code has been working this same way for years), but, in any case, I am glad that it is working for you now.

There may have been something else in error, but it's gone now, so good.
