Alabama does not take taxes out from School retirement; how do I overrideTurbotax so taxes are not figure in the Alabama form?

Retirement tax questions

You shouldn't have to override anything. If you enter your 1099-R correctly in the federal section, it won't be transferred as taxable income to your Alabama return. If this is happening to you, please respond with more information about your 1099-R including the distribution codes in box 7, and I can give you more specific directions.
